Asheville area licensed marriage and family therapist in a comfortable office setting

About Me

I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in North Carolina. I earned my Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Converse University, where I developed a strong foundation in understanding how relationships, early experiences, and emotional patterns shape the way we move through the world.

I work with adults, both individuals and couples, who feel stuck, disconnected, or unsure about where things are heading in their relationships or within themselves.

Some people who come to therapy hope to understand repeating patterns in their lives, others wish to strengthen their connections with friends, family, partners, or to find a clearer sense of direction.

My work is grounded in research-supported approaches, including Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and integrates attachment principles with somatic techniques. Together, we work to rebuild trust, strengthen boundaries, and heal from emotionally challenging relationships.

I support people who:

  • Find themselves repeating the same arguments or relationship patterns

  • Grew up with emotionally unavailable or inconsistent caregivers

  • Carry unresolved anger, resentment, or hurt

  • Struggle to express needs or prioritize themselves

  • Feel disconnected from intimacy or sexual connection

  • Want to build healthier communication and boundaries

  • Feel uncertain about next steps in life or in relationships

  • Live with chronic illness that impacts their work-life balance

My work focuses on how your experiences influence the way you relate to others and to yourself. Together, we explore the cycles that keep you stuck and work toward creating more safety, clarity, and trust. Therapy with me is collaborative and paced in a way that feels supportive, helping you move toward meaningful change without feeling overwhelmed.

I am committed to creating a therapy space that is affirming, respectful, and welcoming of diverse identities and relationships. I work thoughtfully with LGBTQ+ individuals and couples, honoring each person’s lived experience, culture, and sense of self. You deserve a space where you can show up fully and be met with curiosity, care, and acceptance.

My THERAPEUTIC APPROACH

I believe lasting change happens when people feel truly seen and learn how to care for themselves differently. Many of my clients learned to put their own needs last in order to survive or maintain relationships. Therapy is a place where we gently explore those patterns, interrupt unhelpful cycles, and build new ways of relating to yourself and to others, while honoring your own needs.

I do this work because I believe relationships shape us, and because being deeply understood can be healing in itself. I'm passionate about helping people feel seen, understood, and supported as they create meaningful change in their lives and improve their relationships  both with themselves and with others.

If you’re ready to start your journey toward growth and connection, I’d be honored to support you in your next chapter. I invite you to reach out and schedule a session.
